Where to ask questions and what to include.
Community support is best-effort via GitHub issues and discussions on
helioslx/core. There is no SLA or
show-call emergency support.
Where to post
- Issues — reproducible bugs and focused feature requests
- Discussions — usage questions, design ideas, integration help
- Security — private vulnerability reports only (repository Security tab)
Before you open something
Check the docs, changelog, and existing issues. Include:
- Package and runtime versions
- OS
- Minimal reproduction
- Expected vs actual behavior
- Sanitized logs
For network problems, describe the interface and topology without posting venue addresses or credentials. Do not paste Redis URLs, tokens, or packet captures with sensitive data.
Live incidents
This project cannot help in real time during a show. Follow venue emergency procedures and live-lighting safety.
Questions about unsupported runtimes may be closed if they cannot be reproduced on a supported configuration — see versioning.
