Code of conduct
Expected behavior in Helios project spaces.
Helios spaces — issues, discussions, PRs, and related chat — should be usable for everyone. Be respectful, assume good intent, and leave harassment and personal attacks out.
Adapted from the Contributor Covenant 2.1.
Expected
- Empathy and constructive feedback
- Grace when receiving critique
- Focus on the work and the people affected by it
Not okay
- Sexualized language or advances
- Trolling, insults, or targeted harassment
- Publishing private information without permission
- Anything else a reasonable professional space would reject
Scope
Applies in project spaces and when someone is representing the project in public.
Reporting
Report privately to maintainers via the repository’s private contact or the hosting platform’s abuse channel. If the report is about a maintainer, use the platform abuse path so they do not handle their own case.
Reports are reviewed promptly. Reporter privacy is respected.
Enforcement
Maintainers may remove or reject contributions that violate this policy and will explain decisions when appropriate.
Typical ladder (Community Impact Guidelines inspired by Mozilla):
- Correction — private warning and clarification
- Warning — time-limited no-contact with involved parties
- Temporary ban — temporary ban from community interaction
- Permanent ban — permanent ban for patterns of harm
